Der Forschungs- und Interessenschwerpunkt von Frau Dr. Ammon liegt im Bereich Schizophrenie, transgenerationale Weitergabe von Traumata, neuere Hirnfoschung, Androgynität, Kreativität und Glück. Seit Jahrzehnten beschäftigt Sie sich außerdem mit dem Thema Identität und Gruppe - einem Thema von Wichtigkeit in einer Zeit zersplitterter Identitäten und identitätsgeschädigter Gruppen, die gleichzeitig mit hohen Identitätsanforderungen zurecht kommen müssen.
